How it works

Three steps. Then you forget it’s there.

No windows, no dock icon, no dashboard. MeetDash is a line of text in the menu bar that turns into a meeting when you need it to.

  1. 1

    Allow calendar access

MeetDash reads the calendars already on your Mac — iCloud, Google, Exchange, whatever Calendar knows about. No new sign-in, no sync to set up.

  2. 2

    Glance at the menu bar

The title shows your next meeting and when it starts. In the last 30 minutes it counts down; during the call it shows how long is left.

  3. 3

    Click to join

Click the meeting title in the menu bar, or the notification that arrives two minutes before. The link opens in the right app, and you are in.

Features

Small app. Every detail that matters.

Built for people who have too many meetings to think about the next one.

The menu bar tells you what’s next

Title, time and — when it matters — a countdown. Long titles are shortened, back-to-back days grouped into Today and Tomorrow. Nothing to open, nothing to check.

One click, and you’re in

Click the meeting title in the menu bar or the notification, wherever you are — in Xcode, in Mail, in the middle of a document. MeetDash opens the link in the right app: Zoom, Teams, your browser.

Reminders you can click

A notification 2 minutes before every meeting, with a Join button right on it. Set the lead time from 0 to 60 minutes, and ask for a second nudge when the meeting actually starts.

Finds the link, wherever it hides

In the URL field, the location or somewhere in the notes — MeetDash looks everywhere, unwraps Outlook Safe Links, and prefers a real meeting service over a stray link.

Hands off to the next meeting

In the last ten minutes of a call, the menu bar can already show the one after it — so on back-to-back days you are never a click behind.

Only the meetings you want

Choose which calendars count. Hide all-day events, declined or tentative invites, things you have not answered yet, or events without a link. Include tomorrow, or don’t.

Services

Sixteen services. Plus any other link.

MeetDash recognises the services below by their link. Anything else with a web address in the invitation opens as a plain link — so the meeting your client’s IT department picked still works.

  • Google Meet
  • Zoom
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Webex
  • FaceTime
  • Slack Huddles
  • Discord
  • Jitsi
  • Whereby
  • GoTo Meeting
  • RingCentral
  • Skype
  • BlueJeans
  • LiveKit
  • StreamYard
  • Tuple
  • …and any other link

Works with every calendar account on your Mac — iCloud, Google, Microsoft 365, Exchange, CalDAV.

Privacy

Nothing leaves your Mac.

MeetDash doesn’t have a server, an account or a tracker. It reads your calendar the way Apple’s own apps do — on your Mac, for you, and nobody else.

  • No network access. The app itself never connects to the internet — not for analytics, not for updates, not for anything. Joining opens the link in your browser or meeting app.
  • Calendar: read, never write. Events are read through macOS with your permission. MeetDash never creates, edits or deletes anything.
  • No account, no sign-in. Buy it once in the App Store and it just works.

FAQ

Good questions.

Which calendars does it work with?

Every calendar your Mac already knows: iCloud, Google, Microsoft 365 and Exchange, Outlook.com, Fastmail, any CalDAV account. If an event shows up in Apple’s Calendar app, MeetDash sees it too. You can switch individual calendars off in Preferences.

Which meeting services are supported?

Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, FaceTime, Slack Huddles, Discord, Jitsi, Whereby, GoTo Meeting, RingCentral, Skype, BlueJeans, LiveKit, StreamYard, Tuple — and any other web link in an invitation. A known service is always preferred over a generic link.

Does it open Zoom in the app or in the browser?

MeetDash hands the link to macOS, exactly as if you had clicked it in Calendar. Zoom, Teams and FaceTime links open in their apps when those are installed; Google Meet and the rest open in your default browser.

Why does it ask for calendar access?

That is the only way an app can read events on macOS. MeetDash asks once, reads events for today (and optionally tomorrow), and never writes to your calendar. You can revoke the permission at any time in System Settings.

Does it need an account or an internet connection?

No. There is no account, no server and no sync of its own. The app only needs the internet at the moment you join a meeting — and then it is your browser or your meeting app that connects, not MeetDash.

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later — including macOS 27 Golden Gate. Apple Silicon or Intel.

Is there really no subscription?

Really. $0.99 on the Mac App Store, once, and the app is yours. No in-app purchases, no account, no trial timer.

Is there a Windows or iPhone version?

No — MeetDash is a Mac app, built with native macOS frameworks. The menu bar is the whole point.

Never hunt for a meeting link again.

Install it, allow calendar access, and let the menu bar do the remembering. When it’s time, click the title or the notification, and you’re in.
